The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that injured four people last Thursday on Adams Street, just west of Bluff Lake Drive, in Zeeland Township.
Deputies from the sheriff’s office, Zeeland Township firefighters and AMR ambulance were called to the crash scene at 5:18 p.m. A preliminary investigation showed a Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 30-year-old Holland woman attempted to turn left from Adams into a private drive, but turned in front of an oncoming Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 73-year-old Zeeland man.
The driver of the Equinox suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment. A 13-year-old boy who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The driver of the Silverado suffered minor injuries, but a 66-year-old Zeeland woman who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries. Both were transported via ambulance to Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital.
The crash shut down Adams Street for a little more than an hour while the scene was investigated and cleaned up.
