Man arraigned on charges including aggravated child sexually abusive activity

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 22-year-old David Boxley, of Sterling Heights was arraigned on felony charges related to child sexually abusive materials.

It is alleged that in February  Boxley communicated with a minor for an immoral purpose. He also followed a different minor on social media and, through the app, asked her to direct message him.

After investigation and pursuant to a search warrant, Warren Police searched Boxley’s telephone resulting in charges.

Last Thursday, Boxley was arraigned before visiting Judge Thomas Brookover in the 37th District Court in Warren.

Boxley was arraigned on the following charges:

Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity, a 25-year felony

Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material, a 10-year felony

Computers – Using to Commit a Crime – Maximum Imprisonment of 4 Years but Less Than 10 Years, a 7-year felony

Children – Accosting for Immoral Purposes, a 4-year felony

Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material, a 4-year felony

Boxley is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference on March 24.
