Oklahoma has traditionally had a significant number of veterans and active-duty military personnel relative to its overall population. Some of these individuals become involved in the criminal justice or civil court systems and face mental health and substance abuse issues often attributed to their service and sacrifice.
This Family-Centered Fridays webinar will talk about the Zone4Vets (Z4V) initiative and the services it provides to veterans through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Programs receiving the Zone4Vets distinction have established enhanced collaborations with veterans service organizations and the criminal justice and civil court systems, and provide veterans with the tools needed to lead productive and law-abiding lives.
Speaking at the webinar will be Tammy Westcott, director of diversion programs, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Lisa Williams, senior court management consultant at NCSC, will moderate.
