Miller joins Butzel
Attorney and shareholder Christopher M. Hiller has joined Butzel’s Grand Rapids office. His practice is focused on helping businesses and individuals in diverse sectors, including automotive, health care, education, manufacturing, and others.
Hiller is experienced in the negotiation and drafting of a wide variety of corporate contracts, including joint venture agreements, shareholders agreements, employment contracts, asset purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), software and technology licensing, and software as a service (SaaS) agreements. He advises clients on matters including mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and compliance issues, corporate governance, trade secret, intellectual property, consumer and data privacy, and labor and employment.
Hiller also offers strategic counsel on labor and employment, trade secret, intellectual property, and matters falling under the broad scope of name, image, and likeness (NIL) issues. He radvises clients through mergers and acquisitions, consumer and data privacy concerns, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
Hiller earned a J.D. from John Marshall Law School, now known as University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America – Ones to Watch, Corporate Law, 2024, 2025.
Kevin Rogers named to Michigan Board of Medicine
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has named Kevin Rogers of Grand Rapids to the Michigan Board of Medicine.
Rogers is an associate attorney at Hewson & VanHellemont PC. He holds a Master of Jurisprudence and Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law.
Rogers is appointed as a member of the public for a term commencing March 5, 2026, and expiring December 31, 2029. He succeeds Elizabeth Gates, whose term has expired.
