The Jackson Interfaith Shelter (JIS) held a family shelter groundbreaking ceremony on March 18. Last year, the Jackson Interfaith Shelter (JIS) provided over 90,000 meals and emergency shelter for over 600 people. There are currently 44 beds in the women and family dorm, 32 in the men’s dorm. Thanks to the generosity of the Jackson community $11 million dollars was raised for a new building.
