Three boys basketball team players
earn post season recognition


Climax-Scotts High School senior Liam LaSala and sophomores Nyle and Dane Sattler received post season recognition Panther boys varsity basketball coach Kenny Sattler announced last week.

LaSala was named to the All SCAA Honorable mention team, was a Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Team First Award recipient and named to the Battle Creek Enquirer All Area Honorable Mention team.

Nyle Sattler was named to the SCAA All Conference 2nd team, the Battle Creek Enquirer All Area team and the MLive Kalamazoo Gazette Dream Team Honorable Mention team.

Dane Sattler was named to the SCAA Honorable Mention team and the Battle Creek Enquirer All Area Honorable Mention team.


Five lady Panthers recognized


Five members of the Climax-Scotts girls varsity basketball team earned post season recognition coach Chip Paddock announced recently.

Senior Holly Talbert was named 1st team All Conference and SCAA West Division League MVP. She was also named to the SCAA Dream team,  1st team Battle Creek Enquirer All area team, 2nd team MLive Dream Team, Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan  Academic All State and BCAM Outstanding senior athlete Award.

The 2025-2026 BCAM Girls Outstanding Senior Student Athlete requirements is a player has to be a senior, has played basketball all four years of high school and have a GPA above 3.8. The BCAM website lists Talbert with a 3.98 GPA.

Senior Addy Reeves was named to the SCAA All Conference 2nd team, Honorable Mention Battle Creek Enquirer All Area team, Honorable Mention MLive Dream Team,   BCAM Team First Award, BCAM Academic All State, and BCAM Outstanding senior athlete award. The BCAM website lists Reeves’ GPA at 3.89.

 C-S junior Kendal Reitz was named 1st team All Conference, 1st team Battle Creek Enquirer All Area Team, and honorable mention MLive Dream Team.

Junior Annabelle Edwards was named to the SCAA All Conference 2nd team, freshman Alyse Langs was named Honorable Mention All Conference and senior Sophie Braithwaite was named Honorable Mention All Conference.
