The Chix wasted little time in jumping out to a big lead in the first game, erupting for seven runs in the first inning. Megan Kuzma’s two-run triple was the big blow in that uprising, and Jordynn Berens and Daveyana Phasavo added run-scoring triples.

East then put together another seven-run inning in the third. Kuzma blasted a two-run homer and Cora Ter Haar added a two-run double as the Chix lead grew to 16-4. East then added three more runs in the fourth.

In the second game, East exploded for six runs in the third to break the game open. Kuzma’s bases-loaded single plated two runs as the key hit in that inning.

Keur hit a two-run inside-the-park home run in the seventh to close out the scoring.
