Healthcare, legal experts to convene May 20 for ABA 2026 Antitrust in Healthcare Conference

Legal practitioners, regulators, scholars and healthcare industry stakeholders will meet May 20 to discuss legal and regulatory developments shaping the healthcare sector during the American Bar Association 2026 Antitrust in Healthcare Conference in Washington, D.C.

During the one-day meeting, a roundtable of leading economists will discuss the methodologies at the frontier of healthcare competition, including how agencies define markets, measure competitive effects and assess remedies.

Academic researchers from economics, law and health policy will examine the latest empirical evidence on competition and consolidation in healthcare markets.

Peter Orszag, CEO and chairman of Lazard, the global financial advisory and asset management firm, is a featured speaker. Aviv Nevo, professor of economics at the University of Pennsylvania and former director of the FTC Bureau of Economics, will deliver the keynote address.
