District officials are not releasing any information about the student’s identity or cause of death, but issued a statement May 13.
“Our thoughts are with the student’s family, friends, classmates, and all those impacted by this loss. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, the District will not be sharing additional details at this time,” the district said in its statement.
“Additional counselors, social workers, psychologists, administrators, and support staff are available to students, and support resources will remain available in the days and weeks ahead. We ask our community to continue keeping the family and school community in their thoughts during this difficult time.”
