Defendants allegedly connected to Warren shooting and arson bound over

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido has announced an update in the criminal case involving allegations of a shooting and arson that occurred in Warren in February 2026, at a residence in Warren.

Warren Police officers responded after reports of gunfire and a fire at the home. Investigators observed multiple bullet holes in a bedroom window and evidence that gasoline had been poured and ignited along the exterior of the residence.

Following the incident, police located and attempted to stop a vehicle identified from the scene. Investigators allege the driver fled from officers, leading police on a pursuit through Warren before the vehicle was stopped.

A preliminary examination was held on in April before Judge John M. Chmura in the 37th District Court in Warren,

Following the examination,  Chmura ordered the parties to submit briefs addressing whether the defendants should be bound over to Macomb County Circuit Court.

After reviewing the parties’ submissions, Chmura issued his ruling last Thursday.

Keith Melidis, 18, of Warren, and Kaden Walls, 18, of Warren, were bound over to Macomb County Circuit Court as charged, with one modification.

Chmura amended the charge of Assault With Intent to Murder to Attempted Murder for both Walls and Melidis.

Walls and Melidis will proceed to Circuit Court on the following charges:

Count 1: Attempted Murder, a felony punishable by life or any term of years

Count 2: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to main charge

Count 3: Second Degree Arson, a 20-year felony

Count 4: Explosives – Placing Near Property Causing Property Damage, a 20-year felony

Count 5: Weapons – Firearms Discharge in or at a Building, a 10-year felony

Count 6: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to main charge

Count 7: Weapons – Carrying Concealed, a 5-year felony

Elijah Ingram, 19, of Warren, was bound over as charged to Macomb County Circuit Court. Ingram will proceed to Circuit Court on the following charges:

Count 1: Accessory After the Fact to a Felony, a 5-year felony

Count 2: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to main charge

Count 3: Weapons – Carrying Concealed, a 5-year felony

Count 4: Police Officer – Fleeing -Third Degree – Vehicle Code, a 5-year felony

On Monday, June 8,Ingram, Melidis, and Walls will be arraigned before Judge Joseph Toia in the Macomb County Circuit Court .

Judge Chmura dismissed the charges against a fourth defendant, Bellamaria Sorge, 19, of Warren, without prejudice.

A fifth defendant, Kenneth Blevins, 18, of Warren, earlier waived his right to a preliminary exam and is set for trial before Judge Joseph Toia at the Macomb County Circuit Court on the 
following charges:
