Two juveniles arraigned as adults, related to shooting in Eastpointe Wendy’s parking lot

Macomb County authorities say16-year-old Rayonnate Steen, Jr. and 15-year-old Isaiah Reynolds, both from Detroit, have been arraigned as adults on charges related to a non-fatal shooting that took place in the parking lot of a Wendy’s in Eastpointe, Mich. on June 10.

After examining all the available evidence including the severity of the allegations, Prosecutor Peter Lucido decided to charge Steen and Reynolds as adults.

On June 24, 2026, Steen and Reynolds were arraigned before Magistrate Mark J. Makoski in the 38th District Court in Eastpointe.

Steen was arraigned on the following charges:

Assault with Intent to Murder, a felony punishable by any term of years up to life

Weapons – Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, consecutive to main charge

Weapons – Dangerous Weapon – Carrying with Unlawful Intent, a 5-year felony

Malicious Destruction of Personal Property - $200 or more but less than $1,000, a 1-year misdemeanor.

Reynolds was arraigned on the following charges:

Assault with Intent to Murder, a felony punishable by any term of years up to life

Weapons – Carrying Concealed, a 5-year felony.

Makoski set Steen’s bond at $300,000 cash/surety and Reynolds’ bond at $100,000 cash/surety. If released after posting bond, each defendant must wear a steel-cuff tether. They were also 
ordered to have no contact with one another, the victims, or any witnesses, and are prohibited from possessing firearms or other dangerous weapons.

A probable cause conference for the two is set for July 7.
