On Tuesday, Jingyu Jin, a 46-year-old Chinese national, pled no contest to one count of Conducting a Criminal Enterprise for operating an international human trafficking ring involving commercial sex at illicit massage parlors in Macomb County, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Jin was the owner and operator of two illicit massage parlors: 111 Healing Studio in St. Clair Shores and AM Healing Studio in Sterling Heights. She was charged in December of 2024 following an investigation into an international human trafficking ring involving multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, the Michigan State Police, and the St. Clair Shores Police Department. As part of the operation, numerous women of Chinese and Korean origin, were liberated from the trafficking ring.
Jin’s co-defendant Huazi Piao was sentenced last year after pleading guilty to a similar charge connected to separate illicit massage parlors in Wayne County.
“This illicit operation was one of the largest forced commercial sex enterprises ever uncovered in our state, trapping numerous victims who were trafficked across an ocean directly into our communities,” said Attorney General Nessel. “This conviction makes clear that Michigan will be no harbor for the heinous trafficking trade, and my office remains committed to working with state, local, and federal law enforcement to dismantle these networks, protect survivors, and hold traffickers accountable.”
Jin is scheduled to be sentenced in the 16th Circuit Court in Macomb County before Judge Jennifer Faunce on September 3.
