Rochester woman arraigned, related to car crash that killed mother

Macomb County authorities say that Sandra Webb, 60, of Rochester, has been arraigned on a criminal charge after allegedly causing a car crash that killed her mother.

It is alleged that on November 21, 2025, Webb was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Trax with her mother, 86-year-old Alice Toss, as a passenger.

It is further alleged that Webb was traveling at speeds exceeding 70 miles per hour when she drove up a curb, crossed a yard and crashed into a residence on Frazho Road in Warren.

Webb and Toss were transported to area hospitals where Toss was declared deceased.

Last Wednesday, Webb was arraigned before Judge Michael Chupa of the 37th District Court in Warren on the following offense:

· Moving Violation Causing Death, a one-year misdemeanor.

Chupa set Webb’s bond at $30,000 cash/surety.

The 37th District Court will schedule a Probable Cause Conference for Webb before Judge Steven Bieda.
