The Tekonsha Athletic Boosters held their largest fundraiser of the year with their annual golf outing.

An overwhelming number of golfers, sponsors, volunteers, donors and community members turned out for the event, making it one of the largest outings in terms of proceeds in the event’s history.

“Your generosity and dedication continue to have a lasting impact on our student-athletes and athletic programs,” said Tekonsha athletic director Aryn Henry.

The booster program made a special mention of the event sponsors and donors, especially The Foundation Golf Center and Arnie’s Towing & Recovery, who donated the raffle items.

The winner of the 50/50 raffle, BJ Johnson, donated his winnings back to the Tekonsha Athletic Boosters.

“Your contributions helped create a memorable experience for all participants while providing valuable resources that directly benefit Tekonsha Athletics. We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to supporting local students and our community,” Henry added.

The Tekonsha Athletic Boosters would like to recognize the volunteers for the event, including Tim Jenkins, JoEllen O’Keefe, Sara Griffith, Michele Stuart, Brandie Aldrich, and Kelsie Russel, who dedicated their time and energy before, during and after the event.

“Your hard work behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly and allowed our guests to enjoy a fantastic day on the course.”

Winners of the Tekonsha Athletic Boosters Golf outing this year was the team of Nick Collyer, Dan Collyer, Don Collyer and Nolan Shaffer.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the student athletes of Tekonsha Community Schools, toward the support of the athletic programs and to continue the tradition of excellence that the Tekonsha Athletic Boosters strives to provide.
