In July, a Macomb County jury found Briscoe Hall guilty of Second-Degree Murder, a felony punishable by life or any term of years, and Weapons – Felony Firearm, a felony punishable by two years in prison.
Last month, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Kathryn Viviano sentenced Briscoe Hall to 270 to 600 months for the second-degree murder conviction and 2 to 24 months for the felony firearm conviction, with 321 days of credit. The firearm sentence is to be served consecutively to the murder sentence.
On Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, Warren police were dispatched to a home following a report of a shooting and discovered 63-year-old Roger Willie, Briscoe Hall’s partner, lying unresponsive on the floor and bleeding from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officers rendered life-saving aid until Warren firefighters arrived and transported Willie to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
