Petitions and Orders for Assignment (PC556) are now required to be e-filed using the Oakland County Probate Court’s MiFILE system. When filing the petition, you will be required to enter the decedent’s estate value. MiFILE will automatically calculate the required inventory fee.
Once the filed petition has been accepted, notice will be sent to your email, along with a copy of the order. If a certified copy of the order is needed, it will be available for purchase from the court’s website, www.oakgov.com/probate, using Court Explorer.
