Battling it out at the ballpark
The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel and Michigan Association of Justice recently took to the ball field for the MDTC/MAJ Battle of the Bar IV softball game at the Corner Ballpark in Detroit. The friendly sportsmanship competition raises funds for the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL). Ready for the first pitch were (left to right) Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kimberly Thomas, Ingham County 54A District Court Judge Kristen Simmons, Kiersten Reinhold, Nichole Omilion, Hanna Roegner, MDTC President Richard Joppich, MDTC Softball Committee Honorary Chair Mike Jolet, Steven Madej, MAJ Past President Ron Weiner, and MDTC Softball Committee Chair and Coach Jack Ottenwess.
