The Administrative & Regulatory Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan will conduct its “Annual Meeting & Seminar” on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the International Banquet & Conference Center in Detroit.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and the the board member voting will take place from 2 to 3 p.m.  Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided for section members.

The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers will host its 31st Annual Golf Outing Scramble/12th Annual Challenge Cup Against Irish Network Detroit on Thursday, Sept. 24 at Sanctuary Lake Golf Course in Troy.

Michigan attorneys now have a new resource to make preparing common legal documents faster and easier. 

The State Bar of Michigan is offering templates for select court filings and other legal documents that attorneys can quickly customize, review, and file.

Each template is formatted to comply with applicable court rules and filing requirements, where required, and clearly identifies areas where attorneys should insert case-specific information.

The templates are designed to allow attorneys to efficiently customize, review, and file or send the completed pleading or client document.

The available templates include letters to clients regarding court dates, dismissals, replenishment of retainers, and withdraw requests; general motions; referral fee agreements; unavailability letters; and captions for civil, criminal, probate, and juvenile court documents.
