Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido says that 32-year-old Stephanie Holt, of St. Clair Shores, has been sentenced after pleading no contest to a criminal charge connected to the death of a woman found deceased at the foot of a driveway in St. Clair Shores in November 2025.

Holt pled no contest to the charge of Failure to Stop at Scene of Accident – When at Fault – Resulting in Death before Judge Jennifer Faunce of the Macomb County Circuit Court on July 15.
Last week, Holt was sentenced by Faunce to probation for two years with 365 days to be served in the Macomb County Jail.

Holt’s sentence will be served on the weekends.

She will spend 100 weekends in jail. She was also ordered to have no contact with the victim’s family, complete 200 hours of community service, and attend counselling.

On Nov. 1, 2025, St. Clair Shores Police were called to a location where a body was laying at the end of a driveway.

 The deceased had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. It is alleged that Holt struck the victim while backing out of her driveway.

The victim was 76-year-old Mary Hulswit, a St. Clair Shores resident.
