Macomb County authorities say 25-year-old Antoine Paige, Jr., of Warren, was sentenced after being convicted by a Macomb County jury in July on all charges, including 10 felonies.
Last December, Paige fired multiple handgun shots at his cousin and her boyfriend, striking his cousin in the shoulder.
When officers later contacted Paige in a vehicle, he ignored lawful commands and fled, leading Eastpointe and St. Clair Shores police on a high-speed pursuit exceeding 120 mph on eastbound I-94.
The pursuit ended when Paige crashed his vehicle on North River Road. Following a multi-agency search, Paige was found hiding in a canal beneath a dock and taken into custody.
Paige was convicted following a four-day jury trial that began Tuesday, July 14. The jury deliberated for approximately two hours before finding him guilty on all charges.
Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Rachel Rancilio recently sentenced Paige to 20 to 60 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections on six counts, including two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Third-Degree Fleeing and Eluding.
Paige was also sentenced to two years for each of three felony-firearm convictions, with those sentences to be served consecutively to the corresponding underlying felony sentences.
On one count of Assaulting, Resisting or Obstructing a Police Officer, Paige was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections. He was credited with 277 days served on applicable counts.
