Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido has announced that Andrew Walker, 28, of Detroit, and Deanote Lindsey, 27, of Harper Woods, were bound over on serious charges stemming from an alleged series of thefts from work trucks across Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties.
It is alleged that Walker and Lindsey targeted work vehicles parked in driveways and commercial parking lots throughout the tri-county area, operating at various times of day.
They are accused of breaking into at least 10 work vehicles.
During one incident, it is further alleged that when a victim attempted to prevent the suspects from fleeing with stolen property, one of the men produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim.
Earlier, a preliminary exam was held for Walker and Lindsey before Judge Sebastian Lucido in the 41-B District Court in Clinton Township. At the conclusion of the exam, Lucido bound both men over as charged on the following counts:
Count 1: Armed Robbery, a felony punishable by life or any term of years
Count 2: Conducting a Criminal Enterprise, a 20-year felony
Count 3: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a 4-year felony
Walker and Lindsey are scheduled to be arraigned before Judge Michael Servitto of the Macomb County Circuit Court on Oct. 19.
Both men remain in custody at the Macomb County Jail.
