Detroit man facing 10 felony charges including armed robbery, impersonating officer held on $750 K bond

Macomb County authorities have announced that Tremain Vernon Jones, 55, of Detroit, was arraigned on multiple felony charges and is being held on a $750,000 bond stemming from an alleged armed robbery at the Victory Inn in Roseville in July.

Jones allegedly dressed as a U.S. Marshal and robbed three people at gunpoint.

Last Friday, Jones was arraigned before Judge Kathleen Tocco of the 39th District Court in Roseville on the following offenses:

THREE COUNTS: Robbery – Armed, punishable by life or any term of years

FIVE COUNTS: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony served consecutively to connected charges

TWO COUNTS: Impersonating a Peace Officer to Commit a Crime, a 4-year felony

Habitual Offender – Fourth Offense Notice, punishable by up to life in prison but mandatory minimum 25-year sentence.

Tocco set Jones’s bond at $750,000 cash or surety only. If Jones posts bond and is released, he must wear a steel cuff tether and have no contact with Victory Inn or any victims.

Jones is scheduled to appear at a probable cause conference before Judge Joseph Boedeker at the 39th District Court on Oct. 7.
