The State Bar of Michigan named October as Pro Bono Month to promote pro bono events and raise awareness of the need for pro bono legal services throughout the state.
To celebrate Pro Bono Month in October, attorneys are encouraged to participate in legal clinics, pro bono attorney training, law school pro bono pledges, award ceremonies, and other events being offered throughout Michigan.
Attorneys looking to help low-income Michigan individuals and families in need of legal assistance can get involved by checking out the State Bar of Michigan’s Legal Clinics & Events Calendar for details on upcoming event at www.michbar.org/alawyerhelps/home. Events are added frequently, those interested should check back regularly throughout the month.
