Local attorney/mediator to chair state Alternative Dispute section

Robert E. Lee Wright, founder of The Peace Talks Mediation Services, is the incoming chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Section of the State Bar of Michigan, for which he has served as an officer for several years.

He also presents numerous seminars on mediation and ADR-related topics throughout Michigan, and recently spoke to the Business Law classes at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan on alternative dispute resolution, arbitration and mediation.

Wright is a Harvard-trained facilitative mediator and neutral arbitrator. He assists others in resolving all types of commercial, construction and employment disputes, as well as divorce and child custody matters.

With over 30 years’ experience in commercial litigation, alternative dispute and bankruptcy, Wright helps others peacefully resolve their disputes.  He was voted to inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers for his work as a mediator and arbitrator, and is an active member of the American, Michigan, and Grand Rapids bar associations, the American Arbitration Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution.

Wright received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, an M.A. in psychology from the University of Santa Monica, California, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Western Michigan University.
