Varnum named a Go-To  Law Firm for torts litigation

Varnum has been named a 2013 Go-To Law Firm® at the Top 500 Companies by American Lawyers Media.

Varnum was recognized in the 2013 Go-To Law Firm guide for torts litigation. This recognition is based on several factors. General counsel of the nation’s top 500 companies were surveyed regarding their preferred primary outside counsel in key practice areas. A current, Fortune 500 Company, client nominated Varnum based on their experience with the firm. This nomination, together with research by ALM, including court dockets and public records, resulted in the firm's recognition.

“We are proud to be recognized by our clients for the quality service  we provide,” said Larry Murphy, managing partner of Varnum. “It is our firm's mission to continually go above and beyond clients' expectations, which makes receiving this recognition such an honor.”

Varnum’s recognition as a Go-To Law Firm will be published in a guide that is distributed to In-House Counsel at all Fortune 500 Companies as well as leading business executives and law firms throughout the U.S.

Warner Norcross recognized as a Go-To Law Firm

For the second year, the law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has been recognized as a “Go-To Law Firm” by American Lawyer Media.

Warner Norcross was nominated by medical device manufacturer Stryker Corp. as a Go-To Law Firm for patent prosecution.  Recognition on the list was based on independent research of several factors.  Data was gathered from Fortune 500 Companies’ general counsel and through research in key databases to determine which law firms Fortune 500 companies rely upon for outside counsel in a number of key practice areas.

“We are very pleased to be recognized by Stryker as a valuable resource,” said Douglas E. Wagner, managing partner of Warner Norcross.  “We know our clients rely on us as key business partners, and we strive to perform at a level that continually exceeds their expectations.”

In addition to patent prosecution, the 20+ attorneys in the Technology & Intellectual Property practice group have handled virtually every type of intellectual property dispute, including due diligence reviews, patent infringement, trademark and copyright violations, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets.  While based in Michigan, the firm’s practice is international in scope.
