Dykema adds Martin Axelrod

Dykema announces that Martin Axelrod has joined the firm’s Grand Rapids office. A transactional attorney whose practice has an emphasis on real estate and corporate finance matters and business succession planning, Axelrod comes to  the legal profession after more than 25 years of business experience.
Brian Page, Grand Rapids-based team leader in Dykema’s Real Estate Practice Group, observes, “Martin’s two-and-a-half decades of business experience provide unique perspective. Axelrod’s business experience includes leading a multi-disciplinary wealth management team in the private banking group of a super-regional bank., serving as director of business development for a software quality/performance consulting firm, co-leading concept development of a technology start-up, worked in sales and trading for a major investment bank, among others. Axelrod received his J.D. magna cum laude from Cooley Law School.


Boyce joins Miller Johnson

Miller Johnson is pleased to welcome Marcia Bennett Boyce to its Business Corporate Section as a Member in the Grand Rapids office.
Boyce is continuing her practice in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law and Banking and Financial Institutions. She earned her B.A. from Yale University. After earning her Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in 2001, she worked for Weil, Gotschal & Mages LLP in New York, NY as a corporate banking and finance associate. Prior to joining Miller Johnson, Ms. Boyce was with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP in Detroit in the Commercial Law, Bankruptcy and Reorganization Department, and a member of the corporate finance practice group. She was also a member of their Recruiting and Minority Attorney Initiatives Committees.
