Last Friday’s Grand Rapids Legal News reported that the House of Representatives had after a delay sent its version of the Farm Bill, stripped of SNAP and other Nutrition Title programs, to the Senate for conferencing. However, as of Tuesday, despite an impassioned plea from Sen. Stabenow last week, the House has not yet appointed a conference committee and is still hoping to pass its own version of the Nutrition Title first.
