Rhoades McKee welcomes Suanne Watt Stay to Family Law Practice Group

Rhoades McKee is pleased to announce that Suanne Watt Stay has joined the firm’s Family Law Practice Group.  Watt Stay concentrates her practice helping West Michigan families navigate separation, divorce and co-parenting and guide them to the next stage of their lives.

“We are excited to welcome Suanne Watt Stay into our firm. Her legal expertise in family and domestic law as well as her integrity is well respected in the legal community,” stated Pamela J. Cross, Vice President of Practice Chair Development.

A certified mediator since 2008, Watt Stay represents and mediates all matters relating to divorce including custody, complex business assets, support, parenting time, adoption, guardianship and prenuptial agreements.

Watt Stay’s commitment to West Michigan families extends beyond her legal practice.  She serves in the community as a mentor to young professionals in family law and co-chairs the Justice Foundation of West Michigan, which focuses on providing legal services to the disadvantaged, educating the public about core democratic values and improving the administration of justice.  She also advocates for children who have experienced abuse and neglect as a former board member and continuing supporter of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of Kent County.

In addition, Watt Stay volunteers at her children’s school and has served on the school’s Policy Planning Committee and Home and School Board.

She completed her Juris Doctor from the Indiana University School of Law and a Bachelor of the Arts from James Madison College at Michigan State University.
