Daniels honored as Emerging Leader by The M&A Advisor
Miller Johnson attorney Dustin Daniels was selected as a winner of The M&A Advisor 9th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards for M&A Legal Advisor. He was chosen for his accomplishments and expertise by an independent judging panel of business leaders.
On Sept. 12, The M&A Advisor will host a black-tie Awards Gala in Manhattan to introduce the winners and celebrate their achievements. The gala is part of the 2018 Emerging Leaders Summit – an exclusive event pairing current and past Emerging Leaders winners with their peers and industry stalwarts.
“The Annual M&A Advisor Emerging Leaders Awards began in the United States in 2010 to recognize and celebrate the achievements of young M&A, Financing and Turnaround professionals who had reached a significant level of success and made a notable contribution to their industry and community. With the expansion of the Emerging Leaders program to the United Kingdom, and Europe in 2016, the 2018 US award winners join a truly global network of outstanding young professionals,” said David Fergusson, President and Co-CEO of The M&A Advisor.
Daniels is a member in Miller Johnson’s Grand Rapids office and chairs the mergers and acquisitions practice group. His practice focuses primarily on private-company, middle market mergers and acquisitions. He advises private equity sponsors as well as family-owned and closely-held companies. He has represented clients in over 100 private merger and acquisition mandates involving billions of dollars of transactional value. In the past two years, he has led more than 25 transactions and acted as counsel on even more.
Daniels earned his B.S. in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University, working for Dow Corning before attending Michigan State University College of Law for his J.D. He is on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth Western Michigan. In 2017, Daniels was recognized by Chambers USA as an Up and Coming Leader for Corporate/M&A and as “Dealmaker of the Year” in the advisor category by MiBiz publication. He was also an “Up and Coming Lawyer” in 2015 and a Rising Star for M&A Law.
