David Hall joins Barnes & Thornburg
David Hall has joined Barnes & Thornburg as of counsel in the Grand Rapids office.
Hall has vast experience successfully guiding business leaders through difficult negotiations in complex transactions, in and out of court, while managing business and legal risk.
He represents parties to complex commercial financing transactions, including financial institutions, borrowers, and agents in various financing transactions.
He works with clients to structure financial transactions to meet business objectives in distressed, workout and bankruptcy situations; mergers and acquisitions; operational growth enhancement; and real estate.
In the bankruptcy context, Hall has engaged in all aspects of representing clients in chapter 11 bankruptcy and receiverships, with an emphasis on partnering with distressed businesses to analyze, develop, structure and implement turnaround and restructuring strategies.
Hall earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2003.
Anne Steen joins Warner Norcross
Anne E. Steen has joined Warner Norcross + Judd LLP as an associate, based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. She will start her career by gaining experience in a variety of legal matters before selecting a practice group. She has passed the Michigan State Bar.
Steen received her law degree magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School and holds a bachelor of arts degree in English and Spanish from Calvin College. She taught Spanish at NorthPointe Christian Schools in Grand Rapids prior to attending law school.
She also has served as a volunteer Spanish translator for the Legal Assistance Center at the Kent County Courthouse.
Steen resides in Grand Rapids with her husband, Pete, and 3-year-old son, Elliott.
