The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM) Violence Against Women Project (VAWP) will present an interactive online training on “Working with Reluctant and Recanting Domestic Violence Victims.”
This prosecutors-only training will be conducted Thursday, April 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Discussions will cover the following issues: recognizing potential issues regarding reluctant DV victims, discovery issues, due process issues, and dealing with reluctant/recanting victims in court.
This training satisfies 6 hours of continuing legal education for purposes of PAAM's Best Practices Recommendations (including one hour that would satisfy ethics training). Attendance at full session is required.
