Harris selected for Leadership Grand Rapids 2023 Cohort
Warner Norcross + Judd LLP attorney DeAndre’ Harris has been selected for the Leadership Grand Rapids 2023 cohort.
Leadership Grand Rapids is a 10-month program offered through the Grand Rapids Chamber that gives 40 local leaders the opportunity to learn more about and explore key issues impacting the Grand Rapids community. The program selects participants from a variety of backgrounds and identities who are strong leaders in their communities and organizations.
Harris focuses his practice on labor and employment law. He was named to the Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch list in 2021 and 2022.
Harris is a member of the Floyd Skinner Bar Association and serves on the board for Boys and Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids. He was a member of the Grand Rapids Chamber’s Emerging Leaders 2019 cohort.
Jessica Visser joins Varnum’s Corporate Practice Team
Jessica Visser has joined Varnum’s Corporate Practice Team, and is based in the Grand Rapids office.
Visser is a commercial lawyer with 10 years of in-house experience focused on general contracting and procurement.
As former associate general counsel for a major university, she regularly negotiated significant contracts including spearheading the disposition and lease of university property and supporting a multimillion-dollar concession agreement for the university’s parking system.
She counseled the university athletic department on Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) matters, NCAA compliance and strategic negotiation of coach contracts. She is experienced in Title IX and disability matters including a variety of other student-related issues.
Visser is a cum laude graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law.
