Detroit mother arraigned in stabbing death of daughter
DETROIT (AP) -- A judge has ordered more competency evaluations for a 26-year-old Detroit mother charged in the stabbing death of her 8-year-old daughter.
Semeria Greene was arraigned Wednesday in Wayne County Circuit Court.
Tameria Greene was slain in December in her east side Detroit home. It was witnessed by her 4-year-old brother.
Her murder came about five weeks after probate court officials turned down a request by the state to remove Tameria and her siblings from the home.
Semeria Greene was found competent in June to stand trial. She previously had been found incompetent for trial and ordered to undergo mental health evaluations by the state forensic center.
Circuit Court Judge Margaret Van Houten on Wednesday referred Greene back to the forensic center.
