The Bankruptcy Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will present the Walter J. Shapero Bankruptcy Law Symposium on Tuesday, May 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Atheneum Hotel, 1000 Brush St. in Detroit.
This year’s seminar topics include: Puerto Rico’s Supreme Court Challenge, Structured Dismissals, §523 Actual Fraud in Ritz, and more.
The featured speakers will be Professor Melissa Jacoby of the University of North Carolina School of Law, 2016 ABI Scholar in Residence; and Professor John Pottow of the University of Michigan Law School.
The event begins at 5 p.m. with cocktails followed by the dinner program and a Q&A with the speakers.
