Michael P. Salhaney, a partner in Secrest Wardle’s Troy office and a member of the firm’s Municipal, Family Law, and Governmental Litigation Practice Groups, recently participated in the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan’s Wish-A-Mile (WAM) Bicycle Tour. The WAM Bicycle Tour is a three-day event covering over 300 miles. This year, bicyclists made their way from Traverse City to the Michigan International Speedway.
Salhaney rides in honor of a child who has cancer. He has been a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish Foundation since 1998. He also served the organization as Food Committee chairman.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan supports children with life-threatening medical conditions in an effort to help them and their families with Hope, Strength and Joy during their illnesses. Granting wishes supports the children and their families to improve their quality of life. For more information about Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, or to donate, please visit http://michigan.wish.org/.
Secrest Wardle served as a corporate sponsor of the WAM Bicycle Tour, participating in the opportunity for sign placement along the route with encouraging words for the cyclists. Salhaney and his team found the sign, “Breathe...You Will Make It” to be most meaningful. The firm also donated pens for inclusion in the riders’ packet of race materials.
