Rochester Bar meeting to focus on marijuana law

The Rochester Bar Association will host its next meeting on Tuesday, April 16, beginning at 11:45 a.m. at the Rochester Mills Beer Company, 400 Water Street in Rochester.

The guest speaker will be attorney Matthew Abel who will discuss marijuana law.  Abel served on the drafting committee for the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act. He is the executive director of Michigan NORML. He serves on the board of directors of the National Cannabis Bar Association and is an officer of the SBM Marijuana Law Section. Abel has been a practicing attorney in Michigan for 32 years and founded Cannabis Counsel PLC, a boutique cannabis law firm.
