Wayne County Circuit Court Judge David J. Allen (right) swore in the bench’s newest judge, Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Helal Farhat (left), on Monday, April 8. Farhat is Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s first appointment to Wayne County Circuit Court. He fills the vacancy of retired Judge Vonda Evans. He will be assigned to the court’s Family Division. His most recent position prior to appointment was as magistrate judge in Wayne County 19th District Court in Dearborn.
