Nominating petitions for the 2023 State Bar of Michigan election will be available in the Michigan Bar Journal and posted on the State Bar website this month. The June election will include:
• A non-judicial member of the Judicial Tenure Commission
• Representative Assembly members in 38 judicial circuits
• Board of Commissioner seats in four districts
• Members of the Young Lawyers Section Executive Council in three districts
Candidates must submit nominating petitions to the State Bar of Michigan between Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 30. Completed petitions should be sent via email to Carrie Sharlow at csharlow@michbar.org.
All active members of the State Bar will receive their ballots via email by June 1 and ballots must be cast online by 11:59 p.m. June 15. To ensure members receive a ballot and notifications about the election, members should make sure their current email address is on file at e.michbar.org.
