Dykema named top real estate law firm

Dykema Gossett, PLLC has been named the number one real estate law firm by Midwest Real Estate News. This year's award marks the second time since 2009 that Dykema has earned the top spot; and the third time in as many years that the firm has been named one of the region's top three. As reported in Midwest Real Estate News, Dykema closed nearly 1500 transactions between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2010, in areas such as commercial, industrial, shopping centers, land, office buildings, multifamily and healthcare. Almost 20 percent of the matters closed involved at least $5 million, and more than five percent involved greater than $15 million. "Having again earned the top ranking reaffirms Dykema's position as one of strength and stability in today's real estate market," said Cameron H. Piggott, Director of the firm's Real Estate and Environmental Services department. Culminating with the release of its highly anticipated "Best of the Best" issue, Midwest Real Estate News annually canvasses key players within the real estate industry. This year, the publication received responses from a strong field of 63 law firms. The "Best of the Best" issue also ranked other practitioner categories including owners, financial intermediaries, brokers, construction companies and property management organizations.
