Learn about the law 'People's Law School' begins September13

"People's Law School" is a program that helps educate Michigan citizens on a wide-range of topics, from criminal law to family law to personal injury law to probate law. Sponsored by the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, the Michigan Association for Justice and Wayne State University Law School, the 2016 "People's Law School" begins Sept. 13 and runs through Oct. 25. The program will be held each Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hannah Community Center, 819 East Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI 48823. The cost is $25 for all seven sessions, or $7 for an individual class. "People's Law School" is open to the public and connects citizens who want to learn more about the law with attorneys, professors and other legal experts. Sinas, Attorney at the Sinas Dramis Law Firm Oct. 4 Wills, Trusts & Estates Law- A. Michelle Lane, Attorney at Chalgian & Tripp Law Offices Oct. 11 Understanding Forensic Evidence - Leonard Speckin, Forensic Document Analyst at Speckin Forensics Oct. 18 The Story & Purpose of the Innocence Project - William Fleener, Jr., Clinical Coordinator at WMU Cooley Law School Oct. 25 Family & Domestic Relations Law - Jacquelyn A. Dupler, Attorney at the Sinas Dramis Law Firm Classes typically include a lecture with a short break, followed by a question and answer session. Each participant will receive class materials the evening of that particular class. Students who attend five of the seven classes will receive a People's Law School Diploma.
