Lawyers looking to advance their career now have the opportunity to earn a Master of Advanced Corporation Law (“MACL”) from the University of Michigan Law School. MACL is the first degree of its kind designed for U.S. and internationally trained lawyers who want to specialize in U.S. corporate and securities law, and gain an international comparative perspective on both.
“MACL is a unique opportunity for students to focus intently on corporate law, learning in Michigan Law’s enriching environment from accomplished and experienced professors,” said Theresa Kaiser-Jarvis, assistant dean for international affairs. “This degree is perfect for early and mid-career practitioners who want to move into corporate work or take their corporate practice to the next level.”
The new degree program is an intensive, rigorous, single-summer experience that will require lawyers to complete 20 credit hours in-residence, including three mandatory courses, three elective courses, and a writing requirement.
