Ninetieth Annual Winter Gala hosted by IABAM Dec. 1
The Italian American Bar Association of Michigan will host its Ninetieth Annual Winter Gala benefitting Friends of Foster Kids on Friday, December 1, beginning at 6 p.m.
The black tie optional event will take place at Highlands Renaissance Center in Detroit and feature hor d’oeuvres, cocktails, dinner, dessert, presentation of awards, and live music by Fantasia.
Cost for the gala is $200 per person. The event is open to non-members. Reservations are limited. To register, visit www.iabam.com/event.
License renewal deadline for Michigan attorneys approaching
The deadline for the 2023-2024 Michigan law license renewal process is fast approaching. Payment must be received or postmarked by the post office by Thursday, November 30, to avoid a $50 late fee.
Attorneys can renew their law license by logging in at michbar.org/Member Area?and clicking “Renew Your License Now” at the bottom. For additional information about license renewal, see the FAQ at www.michbar.org/licenserenewalfaq.
As a reminder, this year’s license renewal includes new requirements for private practice attorneys to ensure compliance with Rule 21: Mandatory Interim Administrator Planning, which requires private practice attorneys to make an interim administrator plan and name a person with knowledge of their practice. Private practice attorneys should review these requirements at?michbar.org/Rule 21?prior to beginning their license renewal.

Annual FBA Holiday Party scheduled for Dec. 13 in Detroit
The Federal Bar Association, Easter District of Michigan Chapter, will host its Annual Holiday Party Wednesday, December 13, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Beaubien Room at the Atheneum Hotel and Conference Center, 1000 Brush Street in Detroit.
Attendees will be able to enjoy great food, camaraderie, adult beverages, and live entertainment. Significant others are most welcome.
