Advanced trial training
The Federal Bar Association of Michigan, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, in conjunction with the American College of Trial Lawyers presented an “Advanced Trial Training Program” last month at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. Taking part in the program were (left to right) presenter Powell Miller of The Miller Law Firm PC; along with co-organizers Mike Turco of Brooks, Wilkins, Sharkey, & Turco PLLC, FBA Executive Director Mindy Hermmann, FBA President Andrew Livense of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Michigan, and Lena Gonzalez of BSP Law who served as the program’s MC. Also helping to organize, but not pictured, were Mike Palizzi and Art O’Reilly who both moderated a session too. Roughly 80 attendees heard from members of the federal bench and various local legal professionals. This event was the first program in the FBA’s Advanced Trial Training Series which is envisioned as follow-on training to the FBA’s annual New Lawyers Seminar.
