Battle of the Bar
The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel and Michigan Association of Justice took to the field for the MDTC/MAJ Battle of the Bar softball game on Thursday, August 22, at the Corner Ballpark in Detroit. The friendly sportsmanship competition raises funds for the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL). Ready for the first pitch were (l-r) MAJ President Eric Steinberg; MAJ’s Ron Weiner, Lipton Law; Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Noah P. Hood; Oakland County Circuit Court?Judge Kameshia Gant; Ingham County 54A District Court Kristen Simmons who sang the national anthem for the game; Charlie Langton of Fox 2 Detroit who served as sportcaster for the game; and MDTC Softball Committee Chair Mike Jolet, Hewson & Van Hellemont PC.
