Comprehensive Senior Care Corporation (CSCC) celebrated its first annual Employee Wellness Fair at the Scotts Community Center. The event included games, prizes, food truck, and local vendors and organizations. Prizes included a 50” TV, Blackstone Grill, U of M Football tickets, AirPods and more.
CSCC, a 501(c)(3) organization operates as Senior Care Partners PACE (SCPP) and Senior Health Partners (SHP). It employees over 350 amazing team members who provide care to those living in Kalamazoo County, Calhoun County, eastern Van Buren County, southern Allegan County, and southern Barry County.
Katie Klute, Director of Human Resources, shared, “I was hoping that the Wellness Fair sent a ‘YOU matter’ message to our team members. Every day they take care of our participants, but rarely do they get the time during the workday to take care of themselves. This event gave us the opportunity to offer them connection with each other and with vendors that focus on aspects of wellness, fun and games, and nourishment. From what I hear, people really enjoyed themselves and the time they got to spend with each other.”
CEO, Qiana Harrison, added, “Being able to see our team members from all locations come together for themselves and each other was a gift to me. I’m extremely grateful for the quality time and I’m confident that we are on a path of whole wellness for our organization.”
Community partners participating as vendors at the Wellness Fair for CSCC’s employees included: BCBS/BCN, Jake Miller – Ameriprise, SW Michigan Health Matters, The Perfect Pucker, Kalamazoo Nature Center, Mason Jar Plant Shop, Kellogg Community College, Delta Dental, Treat Yourself Simple, Uproot Market & Eatery, Westside Chiropractic, Kushner & Company, Kalamazoo Long Term Care (KLTC) Pharmacy, The Hartford, PNC Bank, Summit Pointe, Just Move Fitness & More, Sew Fabulous, Employee Resource Network, Sound Therapy, Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts, Amazing Learning Center, Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis, She Oak Healing, and Nessel’s Nutrition/Wellness.
Johanna Baird, Benefits & Compensation Manager, shared, “I was hoping the wellness fair would give team members an opportunity to take time to focus on their own wellness in a holistic manner, from spending quality time with their co- workers, connecting with CSCC benefit vendors, to learning more about services from local organizations and business about the impact they can have on individual well-being.”
