More than 20 children took part in ‘Take Your Child to Work Day’ at Kajy Law in Southfield. The children helped assemble gift bags for families of patients at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Kajy Law Firm, PLLC celebrated “Take Your Child to Work Day” April 24 at its headquarters in Southfield.
Kajy Law, which prides itself on its family-friendly culture, welcomed more than 20 children, ages 7 - 16, from cities throughout metro Detroit as they participated by coming to work with their parents for the day.
The children also took part in assisting with a good deed as they assembled gift bags for families of Children’s Hospital of Michigan patients. The items were purchased by Kajy Law and included tooth brushes, tooth paste, deodorant, Kleenex, a deck of cards, pen and notebook to be given to the parents and a similar bag was assembled for siblings of the patients that also included a key chain, ChapStick, crayons, coloring book, and colored pencils.
“We were honored to have the children of our fine employees join us for this national day to give them a glimpse into our work day,” said Lawrence Kajy, founder and managing attorney of Kajy Law. “It was most gratifying to have them assist with the Children’s Hospital of Michigan gift bag donation, an important lesson that we need to be caring and help others.”
The charitable gift bags were delivered to Children’s Hospital of Michigan on Friday.
