Counselor's Corner: Listening to the inspirations of our heart

Fred Cavaiani

Life becomes simple when we listen to our heart. It can be so easy to stay in our heads and over intellectualize and over analyze. But when we listen to our feelings and desires, we will become inspired to experience life in a deeper way. When we are in our heart and listen to what we experience and desire each day we increase our desire for God’s love and wisdom. The desire to live forever in joy becomes stronger. This is a desire for heaven  that will last forever. Deep in our heart, when we pay attention to our heart, our desire for a loving God in our life gets deeper. We want to discover what is the meaning and purpose of life for us. A desire for more depth keeps surfacing in our heart. So often, as we rush through life, we block ourselves from listening to our heart. Each moment is meant to be an experience of God. In our hearts we have this desire to experience God. When we pay attention to this desire, we will gain the wisdom of how to do this and be  receptive to this desire and this experience.

When I reflectively and lovingly listen to my heart, I will experience a deeper desire to experience a permanent and lasting joy and peace. The desire to feel loved by God gets deeper. The desire to live forever in joy with God increases. A desire  to be loving and kind to others as I listen and experience what is in my heart. I think that these are desires that God keeps putting into our heart. I begin to realize that when I listen to my heart, I discover  the meaning and purpose of my life. It seems to become a more quiet and reflective desire to experience God and to be more loving  toward everyone. In this quiet time of listening to my heart I seem to feel a desire to bring love to others.  And the more I bring love to others, the more I seem to discover and experience the joy, peace, and love of God.

All of this listening  to my  heart helps me to realize and believe that I will live forever in heaven in amazing joy, love and peace. So, I need to listen to these amazing feelings that God seems to be putting into my heart. And again, I experience
that God is always loving and  those amazing loving words keep surfacing: “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”

I become so grateful for the quiet  time I spend with God each morning. It puts me into my heart deeper and helps me to have a positive, joyful, and uplifting experience of God. This will always happen if I pay attention to my heart. The desires of the heart are so filled with God’s abundant love and wisdom. Each moment of love is meant  to be an encounter with God. I realize this deeper when I pay attention to my heart in each present moment of life. I realize more and more that each moment is meant to be an experience of God and a  positive journey into a loving God. When I pay attention to my heart, I experience a profound meaning in life and my faith in an ever present and always loving God so profoundly increases. I become filled with an inner peace and joy in each moment. I stop over-analyzing and I get on the positive journey of experiencing God and love and the realization of how peaceful and joyful life will become if I listen to my heart. All this comes from the heart and I don’t have to analyze it. I simply have to allow myself to experience what is going on in my heart.  So comforting. So amazing.
