The Negligence Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan along with the Michigan chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates will present “New Lawyer Training Program: The Road to Excellence” at Christensen Law, 25925 Telegraph Road in Southfield.
From case intake to trial, this 11-session certificate program will provide best practice tips, hands-on accelerated learning, and mentorship from leaders in the law. Focused on ethical and effective advocacy, strategic case planning, deposition, and trial skills from voir dire to closing, this program picks up where law school ends.

8/15/2025—Initial Case investigation, pleading practice
9/12/2025—Depositions- witness and lawyer preparation, deposition practice- taking and defending depositions
10/10/2025—Discovery and Motion Practice, oral arguments before the court
11/14/2025—Preparing for Trial logistics, visual aids, Trial evidence primer
2/13/2026—Meeting with Zoom—Open to the public
3/13/2026—Voir Dire
4/10/2026—Opening Statements
5/8/2026—Direct Examination and storytelling
6/26/2026—Cross Exam—constructive and destructive
