Boot Camp
The Oakland County Bar Association, Oakland County Circuit Court, and Oakland County Probate Court presented a “New Lawyer Boot Camp” on Friday, June 13, in the Jury Assembly Room at the Oakland County Courthouse in Pontiac. Among those taking part in the program were (l-r) Alexa Solomon of Holzman Law PLLC, David Braxton of The Braxton Law Firm PC, Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Judge Jeffery Matis, Dean Googasian of The Googasian Firm PC, Elisabeth Dery of Yun, Dery, & Morgan PC; and Damian Elahi. The full-day training program was specifically designed for attorneys in practice for less than five years and for law students. Participants learned from judges, judicial staff, and expert attorneys on how to navigate the court system and best represent clients.
