Attorneys reminded to update contact information; profile updates available
License renewal begins annually in September. Michigan attorneys are required to keep their current name, mailing address, and email address on file with the State Bar of Michigan. (SBR 2)
Member contact and profile information can be updated at any time by logging in at michbar.org/MemberArea. Click "Manage address, profile, preferences, upload photo, and passwords" to check and/or edit your information.
Michigan attorneys now also have the option of updating their demographic information through their profiles. Demographic information is not publicly displayed; it is for internal use and demographic reporting. Members have the option of specifying their gender and can identify their race/ethnicity through their online profiles. Members can also have the option of choosing “Prefer not to Answer.”
Other profile information includes phone number, website, and secondary address; privacy preferences; MiFile email address; and other communication preferences.
‘Nuts & Bolts of an OWI Case 2025’ presented online
Officers handling Operating While Intoxicated cases must have a solid foundation of the “nuts and bolts” of these types of investigations. Having a solid foundation of the basics will allow officers to build on their OWI investigative skills as they advance in their careers.
This training will cover all the “nuts and bolts” that go into making a solid and complete OWI investigation that will help prosecutors hold impaired driving offenders responsible for their dangerous actions.
